Prior to the New England Patriots squaring off against the Houston Texans in Week 13, here are three bold predictions for the Patriots going into the game.

The New England Patriots are again one of the top teams in the NFL as they enter Week 13. The defending Super Bowl Champions have once again displayed their dominance around the three-quarter mark of the regular season schedule, with New England winning 10 of its first 11 games to sit atop the AFC and NFL standings.

Going into Week 13 while riding a two-game winning streak, the Patriots will hit the road to face off against an AFC opponent in the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football to cap off a day of football, a matchup that will air on NBC from NRG Stadium in Houston.

The Patriots will enter the contest at 10-1 overall, coming off of a 13-9 win at home over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12 last Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. In that game, New England jumped out to an early lead and held off a late-game comeback attempt by Dallas to remain undefeated at home to this point in the 2019 campaign.

Moving into Week 13, the Patriots remain atop the AFC East standings ahead of the Buffalo Bills (8-3 overall), New York Jets (4-7) and Miami Dolphins (2-9), and are currently in the top spot in the AFC standings.

On the other end of the field, the Texans come into the game on Sunday night against the Patriots with a record of 7-4 on the season, coming off of a 20-17 victory at home against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football in Week 12.

Houston, which is tied with the Kansas City Chiefs (7-4) for the No. 4 seed in the AFC standings, are in first place in the AFC South division ahead of the Colts (6-5), Tennessee Titans (6-5) and Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7).

Before New England and Houston battle it out in Week 13 on Sunday Night Football this weekend, let’s dive into three bold predictions for the Patriots going into the contest.
