Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7)

Sunday, December 1, 1PM ET

All season long, picking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hasn’t worked out well for me. They seem to win when I pick against them, and lose when I pick them. It’s the difficult part of making these weekly predictions, but I’m feeling rather confident in my selection for this Week 13 showdown.

Why? Because the Jacksonville Jaguars have been awful since Nick Foles took over under center. I understand that they needed to let their prized offseason free agent signing play, but he clearly isn’t the answer. The Jaguars were better off with Gardner Minshew at quarterback, and it’s become more and more apparent with each passing weekend.

Well it’s going to work in the Buccaneers’ favor on Sunday. With Foles running the show, the Tampa Bay defense shouldn’t be tested too much. They’ll give up yards like they have all season long, but not enough to dig them into a hole like they have at times in 2019.

As long as Jameis Winston doesn’t turn it over five times, the Buccaneers should have this one. The Jaguars don’t have enough offensive force to keep up with a Tampa Bay passing game that has been absolutely explosive for much of the season. I don’t expect a blowout, but Jacksonville will fall behind early and fail to ever work their way back into it.

Prediction: Buccaneers win 28-17
