3. Pat Shurmur

Remember all that excitement surrounding the New York Giants back in September when they won two games in a row with Daniel Jones?

Unfortunately, the end of September was the last time New York recorded a win, as the Giants enter Week 13 with seven losses in a row, which will most likely increase to eight since Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are coming to town.

With all due respect to the Giants since anything is possible when it comes to NFL games, but with the Packers coming off a tough loss to the San Francisco 49ers, this seems like a game that could get ugly real fast for New York.

Since Jones is a rookie, and clearly has numerous areas in need of improvement like most young quarterbacks, the Giants knew this year could see plenty of rebuilding after making the decision to go with the former Duke star over Eli Manning.

But at the end of the day, the Giants also will need to decide if Pat Shurmur is the right answer for this team in the long run since there has already been plenty of doubts over whether he’s the right fit at head coach.

Developing Jones is going to be extremely important moving forward for the Giants, and if Shurmur doesn’t have what it takes to help make this happen, why would New York even waste their time?
