2. Ron Rivera

Similar to last season, the Carolina Panthers appeared to be at least a lock for a Wild Card spot in the NFC playoff picture before things started to fall apart in the second half of the regular season.

A few months ago, the Panthers were considered one of the biggest threats in the NFC thanks to Kyle Allen and Christian McCaffrey playing on a high enough level to cause all sorts of problems for opposing defenses.

But with Carolina entering Week 13 losing four of their last five games, if the team comes up shy of reaching the playoffs for a second year in a row, Ron Rivera could be a strong candidate to be out of a job come January since there’s no way to defend what is taking place.

Similar to the Atlanta Falcons, this Panthers team simply has too much talent for Rivera to work with to come up short of the playoffs, and it’s been frustrating to watch the team lose key games they easily could win.

If the Panthers can’t even make a case for themselves by defeating teams like the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, how are fans supposed to feel confident in Rivera leading the team to the postseason?
