7. Cowboys finally defeat playoff-caliber team

Even though the Dallas Cowboys would technically be in the playoffs if the season were to end today since they currently sit on top of the NFC East, this is the last team anyone would trust come January.

On paper, the Cowboys seem to have one of the top teams in the NFL, led by their dynamic duo on offense in Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

Week after week, the two Dallas stars seem to find new ways to impress, but unfortunately poor coaching has resulted in the Cowboys losing key games they easily would have won.

From their tough loss on the road a few weeks ago to the Minnesota Vikings to coming up just short against the New England Patriots this past Sunday, Dallas could easily have a three-game lead in the NFC East if it weren’t for these two losses.

Looking at each of their six wins to date, the Cowboys are still in search of that first statement victory, although the Philadelphia Eagles was pretty close.

With the Buffalo Bills coming to Dallas for Thanksgiving Day, this is the perfect opportunity for the Cowboys to show they are in fact the real deal, and compete with legitimate contenders.
