Following the Atlanta Falcons falling to the New Orleans Saints in Week 13 on Thanksgiving night, here are three studs and duds from the Falcons in the loss.

The Atlanta Falcons wrapped up a three-game slate of NFL games on Thanksgiving Day in Week 13 of the 2019 season on Thursday night in Atlanta. The Falcons welcomed in the New Orleans Saints to cap off the day of football games, taking on the NFC South opponent at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Atlanta ended up falling to New Orleans despite making a late-game comeback attempt in the fourth quarter, dropping the contest 26-18 on national television.

In the game, the Saints jumped out to an early lead in the contest and didn’t look back from there to take down the Falcons. New Orleans opened the game up by outscoring Atlanta 7-0 after the first quarter, eventually going on to carry a 17-9 advantage going into halftime.

In the second half, both teams tallied nine points apiece but the Falcons weren’t ultimately able to force overtime in the fourth quarter while falling by eight points in Atlanta.

With the loss, the Falcons dropped to 3-9 overall on the year while dropping their second straight game, both of which were at home. Atlanta remains at the bottom of the NFC South standings, trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Saints ahead of it in the division.

Atlanta will remain at home in Week 14 next week and will take on its fifth straight divisional opponent when the Panthers come into Atlanta for a Sunday afternoon showdown at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
