Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 Bold predictions vs. Buccaneers, Week 13
By Larry Brake
1. Jacksonville blows out Tampa Bay by 28-point margin
The last time the Jaguars actually won a lopsided game was in 2017 when they did it twice. They defeated Baltimore, 44-7, in London and defeated Houston, 45-7. They are due to pull off another defensive gem against a worthy opponent.
Tampa Bay’s largest margin of defeat has been 17 points this season. New Orleans won 34-17 in Week 11. Winston threw four interceptions in that game.
Currently, the Jaguars have seven players listed on their weekly injury report. Five of them are these defensive standouts: Ronnie Harrison, Josh Allen, Myles Jack, Calais Campbell and Dawuane Smoot. Brandon Linder and Seth DeValve are the other two players.
DeValve did not play in Week 12. If Harrison does not play, Andrew Wingard should fill those shoes. Most NFL players are playing through their typical bumps and bruises that occur throughout the season’s grind.
Special teams have been a bright spot all year for the Jaguars, especially Josh Lambo. It would be great to see Dede Westbrook take a Buccaneers punt to the house for a score. The time is right for a huge Jacksonville home victory.
You can expect the Jaguars defense rise to the challenge to contain the Tampa Bay passing offense. The Jacksonville offense will throw open the playbook with razzle-dazzle execution. Finally, the Jaguars will leave their fans cheering after a wide-open scoring blitz over the Buccaneers.
