2. Texans vs. Patriots

Thanks to their recent win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Houston Texans control their own destiny when it comes to winning the AFC South.

But if the Texans really want to make a true statement, there’s no better way to do so than to defeat the defending champions in the New England Patriots on Sunday night in front of a national audience.

Depending on how things play out over the next month, this could very well turn out to be an early playoff preview in the AFC since both the Texans and Patriots seem capable of making a run at the Super Bowl.

No one needs to explain what Tom Brady brings to the table since the six-time Super Bowl champion is one of the best to ever play the game for a reason, but Deshaun Watson deserves credit for being a young quarterback on the rise.

Facing New England’s tough defense will certainly be one of Watson’s biggest challenges to date, but in order to be the best, Houston needs to show they can compete with the best.

If the Texans can figure out a way to defeat the Patriots, this will certainly make things more interesting when it comes to the AFC playoff race.
