Before the Minnesota Vikings battle the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13 on MNF, here are three players that will have to step up in the contest for the Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings have a crucial matchup against an NFC opponent on Monday Night Football in Week 13. Coming off of its bye week in Week 12 while being well-rested and ready to get back to action, Minnesota will travel to CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Monday night to play the Seattle Seahawks in a showdown between the two teams currently in the two Wild Card positions in the NFC postseason layout.

Minnesota comes into the game with a record of 8-3 overall on the season, coming off of taking down the Denver Broncos in Week 11 in Minneapolis to grab its second win in a row going into the bye week last weekend.

The Vikings, who come into the Week 13 slate of games tied with the Green Bay Packers (8-3 overall) for first place in the NFC North division while sitting ahead of the Chicago Bears (5-6) and Detroit Lions (3-7-1) in the standings, currently sit in the No. 6 spot in the NFC standings, which is good for the second Wild Card position at the moment behind only the Seahawks.

On the other side of the field, Seattle will welcome Minnesota into its home stadium this week riding a four-game winning streak while holding an overall record of 9-2 on the year following defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 of the regular season last weekend.

The Seahawks moved into Week 13 sitting in second place in the NFC West standings behind only the San Francisco 49ers atop the division at 10-1 overall. Seattle, however, holds a decent lead over both the Los Angeles Rams (6-5) and the Arizona Cardinals (3-7-1) below the Seahawks in the standings.

Going into the game in Week 13 on Monday Night Football between Minnesota and Seattle, the Seahawks hold a narrow lead over the Vikings for the top Wild Card position, which will make for an interesting storyline and something to keep in mind throughout the game on Monday night.

Before these two NFC squads square off on the national stage on Monday night in Week 13, let’s take a look at three players that are going to have to step up and shine for the Vikings in order to steal a game on the road.
