The Baltimore Ravens topping the San Francisco 49ers while the New England Patriots lost has them at No. 1 in the AFC and in the NFL Power Rankings for Week 14.

Between the Cincinnati Bengals earning their first win to Jared Goff finally putting an end to his touchdown drought, there’s plenty to discuss when it comes to the NFL Power Rankings for Week 14.

But since there’s been a bit of a shakeup in the playoff standings, it only seems fair to say the biggest story from the weekend is the Baltimore Ravens officially moving into the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

With the San Francisco 49ers coming to town on top of the weather conditions expected to be difficult, the Ravens knew they would be in for one of their biggest challenges in 2019 on Sunday.

Even though it came down to a final field goal as time expired by Justin Tucker, Baltimore still deserves plenty of credit for arguably beating the top team to beat from the NFC to continue showing they are in fact serious Super Bowl contenders.

And if that weren’t already exciting enough, Baltimore also received some surprise help from the Houston Texans on Sunday night after Bill O’Brien‘s squad took down the New England Patriots.

As football fans remember, the Ravens beat the Patriots earlier in the season, and since both teams hold the same record at the moment, this means Baltimore has officially moved into the top overall seed for the AFC playoff picture due to the head-to-head matchup.

All of a sudden, the Ravens are in control of their own playoff destiny when it comes to determining home-field advantage come January, which would clearly give them a huge edge over any opponent they face.

On top of Baltimore’s big weekend, the latest edition of NFL Power Rankings has plenty to discuss once again, so it only seems fair to jump right in on the action since there’s a new team sitting at the bottom in the New York Giants.
