19. Carolina Panthers (17)

Following three tough losses in a row, a home matchup against the Washington Redskins seemed like it would help the Carolina Panthers turn things around before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, things have gone downhill so much for the Panthers, they couldn’t even figure out a way to defeat a Redskins team that previously had two wins entering Sunday.

Now that Carolina officially has five losses over their last six games, is it finally time to rule the Panthers out from playoff contention?

Back in October, the Panthers were considered to be one of the hottest teams in the NFL thanks to Kyle Allen stepping up in absence of Cam Newton, and Christian McCaffrey playing at an MVP level.

Most importantly, Ron Rivera seemed like he was on his way to leading Carolina to a playoff berth with ease to help keep the head coach off the hot seat since he’s unfortunately already been on there too many times before over the years.

Unless some sort of miracle takes place over the final four weeks, it looks like the Panthers will be watching the playoffs from home yet again.

And while some will try to make the case that Rivera will deserve another shot to prove himself worthy in 2020, how many more opportunities is Carolina willing to give?
