8. Buffalo Bills (9)

In case there were still some doubters over whether the Buffalo Bills deserved to be in the conversation of legitimate contenders in the AFC, the team’s win on the road over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day was a huge statement.

Playing on the road, in general, is never easy in the NFL, but to watch the Bills do so in a game the Cowboys desperately needed to win in order to make a statement of their own shows just how good of a team Sean McDermott has on his hands.

While Buffalo’s defense deserves a ton of credit for holding Dallas to just 15 points, it’s time to recognize Josh Allen as a top quarterback on the rise with the improvement shown during his sophomore campaign.

Prior to last season, the Bills were in desperate need of finding a quarterback to build the franchise around, and while there were some questions surrounding whether Allen was in fact the right answer, Buffalo seems to have found a great young prospect.

No one ever expected Allen to be playing on this high of a level at the beginning of December, and if he can help the Bills secure one of the playoff spots in the AFC, this could be a dangerous team for anyone to face come January.
