2. San Francisco 49ers (1)

One can only imagine how different the results could have been from Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens for the San Francisco 49ers if the weather conditions are better, but Kyle Shanahan’s team all of a sudden has more important things to worry about.

As a result of coming up short 20-17 to the Ravens, all eyes for the 49ers will be on Monday’s meeting with the Seattle Seahawks since San Francisco needs help from the Minnesota Vikings to remain in first place when it comes to the NFC West.

All season, the 49ers have been considered the team to beat within the NFC, and while this could very well still turn out to be the case, it would be crazy to watch the team go from the No. 1 seed in the conference to having a Wild Card spot.

The good news for San Francisco is there’s still plenty of time to continue making a case for the top overall seed in the conference, but it’s still frustrating to think how the 49ers missed out on putting the team in better position if they had just defeated the Ravens.

And if this didn’t seem like enough pressure, San Francisco has an upcoming game on the road in Week 14 against another team looking to fight for the top NFC spot in the New Orleans Saints.
