30. Detroit Lions (30)

Given the circumstances of Week 13 since the Detroit Lions were down to their third-string quarterback, David Blough deserves plenty of credit for filling in on offense, and nearly helping the team pull off what would have been an epic win over the Chicago Bears.

From his first completed pass turning out to be a 75-yard touchdown to Kenny Golladay to the Lions only losing by four points, Blough has plenty to be proud of since his start was completely unexpected as a result of injuries to Matthew Stafford and Jeff Driskel.

Blough obviously has no future as the starter in Detroit since that job belongs to Stafford, but as far as the backup role is concerned, if he can end 2019 on a strong note, it could result in the gig.

After looking at where this team stood at the end of September, it’s crazy to think how the Lions of all teams only have three wins to their name entering Week 14, but also sums up how this year has been for the most part.

Matt Patricia’s job will most likely be safe when taking the circumstances into consideration, but the Lions also have plenty of reasons to be frustrated with the results from their head coach over the last two seasons.
