Cincinnati Bengals (1-11) at Cleveland Browns (5-7)

Sunday, December 8, 1PM ET

Believe it or not, the Cleveland Browns still have a slim chance of making the playoffs at this point. It’s not all that likely, but if the cards fall in their favor, there’s a small possibility that this team will live up to its preseason billing as being worthy of the postseason.

It certainly helps that, in order to get there, the first step is taking down a 1-11 Cincinnati Bengals team. Yes, they’re coming off their first win of the season following the return of Andy Dalton to the starting lineup. While that’s a wonderful moral victory for the Bengals, it doesn’t mean they’re suddenly going to start racking up wins.

The Browns are clearly the superior squad, even with Baker Mayfield potentially nursing a hand injury. They’ve got an excellent group of running backs, plenty of playmaking talent at wide receiver, and enough stars on defense to get the job done. All they have to do is find ways to not let mental mistakes (and coaching) get the way on Sunday.

That shouldn’t be too challenging of a task, at least not against a miserable opponent like Cincinnati. The Bengals make it a game because, well, it’s the AFC North. In the end, though, the Browns find a way to pull out a much-needed win at FirstEnergy Field.

Prediction: Browns win 23-21
