8. Steelers

Isn’t it amazing to see the Pittsburgh Steelers currently in the hunt for a playoff spot in the AFC, despite some of the previous drama surrounding the team?

From having to deal Antonio Brown in the offseason to Ben Roethlisberger suffering a season-ending elbow injury in September, this year has been filled with plenty of obstacles for the Steelers, which makes their current situation even more exciting.

Plenty could still happen from now until the end of December, but if Pittsburgh manages to earn one of the Wild Card spots in the AFC, this could be a dangerous team to face come January.

Watching the Steelers still find ways to succeed on offense with Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges under center has been incredible to witness. And while signs at the moment point to Big Ben returning in 2020, who really knows what to expect from the veteran quarterback.

Roethlisberger has already flirted with the idea of retirement in previous years, and if he were to randomly retire unexpectedly, this really wouldn’t be considered a major surprise at all.

Due to the results from this season, the Steelers seem like they would be comfortable giving Rudolph or Hodges a chance to prove themselves worthy of being the starter if Roethlisberger were officially out of the picture.

But if not, why wouldn’t Pittsburgh at least explore the idea of adding Foles to the mix?
