7. Chargers

With the way things have gone this season, will the Los Angeles Chargers finally realize it’s time to move on from Philip Rivers?

While there has certainly been times throughout Rivers’ career in which he looks like a top quarterback in the NFL, the 2019 season is the perfect example of how the veteran is no longer on the same level he used to be.

From lack of arm strength to recording too many turnovers, Rivers hasn’t exactly built the best case to keep his job beyond the 2019 season, but also if the Chargers decided to give him another shot, would it really be that much of a surprise?

Since the Chargers are heading towards an offseason consisting of watching the playoffs from home, this team will have plenty to consider over the next few months when it comes to determining the direction their offense needs to head towards.

As tempting as it would be for Los Angeles to continue making Rivers the starter, the Chargers need to be open minded by taking all options into consideration, including Foles if he becomes available.

Otherwise, next season will be underway, and the Chargers could be in the same position as this year when it comes to their offense continuing to struggle.
