3. Bears

Just because Mitch Trubisky put together an impressive outing on Thanksgiving Day to help the Chicago Bears take down the Detroit Lions doesn’t necessarily mean he’s off the hook for the long run.

If anything, these final few games in December should be considered an audition for the North Carolina product since Trubisky will receive a majority of the blame if the Bears fail to make the playoffs.

What makes this situation in Chicago even more frustrating for fans to acknowledge is how the Bears decided to select Trubisky in the draft back in 2017 over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson.

Clearly, it was impossible for Chicago to know how things with the three quarterbacks would play out, but also since Trubisky going No. 2 that year was already a major surprise, it still hurts.

Moving on from Trubisky after only three seasons would obviously be difficult for the Bears, but they also need to do what is best for the organization.

To go from winning the NFC North to most likely watching the playoffs from home will be viewed as a major disappointment for Chicago, which is why Foles deserves consideration if the opportunity were to present itself for the 2020 season to help turn the offense around.
