Stud: Chris Carson, RB

Penny wasn’t Seattle’s only star running back on Monday night. Carson carried the load for Seattle, grinding out yards and eating up the clock. He carried the ball 23 times for 102 yards and a touchdown. It was his fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season.

Carson is quietly in eighth place for rushing yards this season. He’s averaging 81.8 yards per game, which puts him at 981 for the season. However, Carson is in hot pursuit of Leonard Fournette (989) and Ezekiel Elliott (990). He’s also just ahead of Lamar Jackson, who has 977 rushing yards this year.

Barring a strange turn in events, Carson could easily finish sixth in rushing this season. In 2018, he finished fifth with 1,151 yards. If and when Carson crosses the 1,000-yard mark this season, he will become the first Seahawk running back since Marshawn Lynch to have multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

Dud: Tyler Lockett, WR

Despite being targeted three times, Seattle’s leading wide receiver was held catch-less against the Vikings. Since getting injured in Week 10 against the 49ers, Lockett has fallen into a slump. He has just four catches for 64 yards in the previous three games. Before that stretch, he averaged 85 receiving yards and six receptions per game.

While his averages are dropping, Lockett is still on pace for the best season of his career. His rapport with Wilson is well known, and he’s grown into a borderline Pro Bowl player since the team lost Doug Baldwin. Hopefully, Lockett can get back on track in time for Seattle’s final leg of the season.
