6. Jonathan Greenard, EDGE, Florida

The Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators going head-to-head always results in some rivalry fireworks — or at least it normally does. The 2019 game wasn’t close, though, as the Gators rolled over the Seminoles. The focal point of their victory was Florida’s ability to put pressure on the opposing quarterback with the help of edge rusher Jonathan Greenard.

The senior edge rusher continued to show why he’s one of the best senior prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Thanks to a wrist injury, 6-3, 260-pound Greenard watched from the bench in 2018. However, he’s totaled nine sacks in 2019. Three came from his stellar week 14 performance.

Greenard has an impressive football IQ. He understands leverage and positioning. He’s a great athlete with a good burst and consistent motor. He’s always on the attack and uses a variety of moves to beat tackles off the edge. He can attack both shoulders of the tackle thanks to his ability counter inside.

Greenard has improved his draft stock and certainly is in no danger of not being selected. Teams playing the 3-4 will love Greenard but with the NFL hybrid style, he’ll fit multiple schemes. Greenard could hear his name called on Day 2 or early Day 3 of the draft.
