3. Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered a bit of heartbreak at the hands of the rival Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. Alabama backup quarterback Mac Jones struggled but he did find one the best receivers in college football. Jerry Jeudy came into the season getting much of the love and attention — and understandably so.

But Henry Ruggs once again proved that he’s a legit top wide receiver prospect in his own right. Against the Tigers, Ruggs nearly totaled 100 yards on five catches and a touchdown. Ruggs has wheels as he can stretch the field and separate underneath. Ruggs has the ability to take a short pass and take it to the house.

The 6-0, 190-pound Ruggs’ amazing speed can blow the top off defenses. Not only can he blow past defenders, but he can also win 50/50 balls as well. He has excellent ball skills and great body control. At the next level, he’s ideally suited for a vertical offense.

Because of his elite speed, ability to stop and start plus strong hands, Ruggs projects as a No. 1 wide receiver. If he can continue to refine his route running he can be a game-changer at the next level. He’ll likely hear his name called somewhere in the first round.
