In the Week 13 NFL Notebook, see why the Dolphins will be more than fine, who should win Coach of the Year, thoughts on Ron Rivera’s firing and much more.

There are now 13 weeks of the 2019 NFL season down with four to go. The final few weeks of the season always promise to be weird and wacky where anything can happen and no one’s footing is certain. This week was no exception.

The worst three teams in the league all won. The Seahawks moved into first place. The Bills finally got revenge for Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII on Thanksgiving Day.

Who else slept well Sunday night?

  • Ryan Tannehill. The dude can’t stop winning.
  • Devlin Hodges. Ditto.
  • The Bengals? Congrats on the win, maybe?
  • Andre Patton. The first receiver not named Allen or Williams to catch a pass for the Chargers since Week 6.

And who didn’t get much sleep?

  • Doug Marrone and Pat Shurmur. I’m not very confident in their jobs right now.
  • NFC East. Who would’ve thought the Redskins would be the best-looking team this week?
  • Nick Foles and Kyle Allen. They might need new teams soon.
  • Me. I was thinking too much about Devlin Hodges and Andre Patton.

Here’s to more wonderful weirdness as the weeks wind down.

As for what’s on tab this week in the NFL Notebook:

  • Why the Dolphins will be more than fine
  • Who should win Coach of the Year
  • Which quarterback I was so wrong about
  • Where Ron Rivera goes from here
  • What defines an ‘all-time’ great player

Before we get to all that and more, how about those Dolphins?
