12. Trubisky throws three touchdown passes for second week in a row

Just when it seemed like Mitch Trubisky was on his way to facing another week filled with lots of criticism, the quarterback found a way to rally the Chicago Bears when needed the most to help defeat the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

One can only imagine how different things would have been this week in Chicago if Trubisky came up short yet again for the Bears on offense, but at least it’s a non-issue.

As a result, the Bears are still somehow alive for a playoff spot in the NFC heading into Week 14, but Chicago will be in for a tougher challenge against a Dallas Cowboys team fighting for their playoff lives as well.

If only the Cowboys were capable of defeating teams with a winning record in 2019, this team would have been an absolute lock for the NFC East title.

And while Dallas arguably deserves to have the edge from a talent perspective, Trubisky could be in for another big game since there’s a good chance he could be fighting for his job beyond the 2019 season.

Fair or not, Trubisky has received a good amount of the blame for the Bears currently being below .500 this late in the season, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure against the Cowboys.
