5. Edelman sees double-digit targets for eighth game in a row

After weeks of watching the offense struggle for the most part, the New England Patriots finally came up short in Week 13 against the Houston Texans.

Despite being in great position to win the AFC East once again, there are some concerns surrounding the Patriots over whether they will actually have what it takes to make another Super Bowl run once January arrives.

Unfortunately, if New England’s offense continues to struggle the way they have, this team could be heading towards an early exit in the playoffs.

But since there’s no reason to look too far ahead right now, the Patriots need to make sure they’re fully prepared for Sunday’s showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.

If New England is going to have any shot at bouncing back, Tom Brady will most likely need a monster game from one of his favorite targets in Julian Edelman.

The fact that Edelman has seen double-digit targets in each of his last seven games shows the wideout should be in for another heavy workload against the Chiefs.

Knowing Kansas City and their offense led by Patrick Mahomes, New England will need all of the points they can get, whether it’s from Edelman or others.
