4. Mahomes finishes with five touchdowns

Defeating the New England Patriots on the road in Week 14 certainly won’t change the outcome of what took place last January in the AFC Championship, but it can help give the Kansas City Chiefs some extra confidence heading into January.

After taking down the Oakland Raiders the way they did last weekend, the Chiefs made a statement about still being the team to beat within the division.

In previous weeks, the Raiders seemed to be heating up at the right time to give Kansas City a run for their money, but with the team suffering two tough losses in a row, the Chiefs shouldn’t be too concerned.

As for Sunday’s meeting with the Patriots, this seems like the perfect opportunity for the Chiefs to make another statement over being one of the top teams to beat in the AFC.

While Kansas City’s defense will look to take advantage of New England’s struggling offense, the real difference maker will come down to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense.

Mahomes is reigning MVP for a reason, and even though the Patriots’ defense has proven to be one of the best in the league this season, the Houston Texans made it clear last Sunday they are beatable.
