NFL Week 14, 2019: 20 Bold predictions to consider

16. Allen tosses four interceptions in loss to Falcons
As frustrating as it’s been to watch the Carolina Panthers suffer four losses in a row last Sunday to the Washington Redskins, the last thing anyone expected was to see the team fire Ron Rivera a few days later.
Dating back to last season, Rivera has seen his name on the hot seat numerous times, and he certainly knew the pressure would be on for 2019 after failing to reach the playoffs in 2018, despite a 6-2 start.
On top of Rivera’s firing, Carolina also faces a difficult challenge heading into 2020 trying to determine whether Kyle Allen is the right answer under center moving forward since the quarterback looked sharp early on filling in for Cam Newton, only to struggle as of late.
Some will make the argument that Allen’s inexperience along with potential earns him the right to another shot as the starter for the Panthers in 2020, but if this is going to have a better chance at happening, he will need a better performance on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
During the first meeting between these two NFC South rivals, Allen displayed one of his worst outings in 2019 by tossing four interceptions in a brutal 29-3 loss to the Falcons.
With the way things have been in recent weeks for the Panthers, don’t be surprised if Allen is in for another rough one on Sunday.
