NFL Week 14, 2019: 5 Teams on upset alert

Here are five teams that should consider themselves on upset alert heading into NFL Week 14.

After watching the New York Jets become the unfortunate victims of being on the wrong end of an upset last weekend by allowing the Cincinnati Bengals to earn their first win of 2019, which teams should be on alert for NFL Week 14?

With only four games remaining in the regular season there are a handful of teams that will be fighting for their playoff lives, meaning the last thing they can afford is to lose favorable matchups.

Take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend for example when Doug Pederson’s squad literally had one of the best matchups of Week 13 against a struggling Miami Dolphins team, only to finish on the losing end.

What made this loss even more frustrating for the Eagles is with the Buffalo Bills handing the Dallas Cowboys a loss on Thanksgiving Day, Philadelphia would have entered Week 14 with the same record as their rivals.

Instead, the Eagles continue to face heavy pressure once again heading into Monday’s meeting with the New York Giants since they still trail the Cowboys by a full game in the division standings.

Even if the NFC East will most likely be decided in Week 16, Philadelphia can’t afford to dig a deep hole, or it’s only a matter of time before they’re guaranteed to be watching the playoffs from home.

Along with the Eagles, here are a few other teams that should be on alert as well in Week 14 to make sure they don’t end up on the wrong side of an upset.
