1. Seahawks sweep Rams in 2019

Last season, the shoe was on the other foot. The Rams swept the Seahawks in their two meetings in 2018, winning the games by a combined seven points. Of course, Los Angeles went on to lose to the New England Patriots in an anti-climactic Super Bowl. The Seahawks lost in the Wild Card Round to the Dallas Cowboys.

However, the Rams teeter on the verge of total collapse week to week this season. Los Angeles is third in the NFC West with a 7-5 record. That means they’re the first team in the hunt for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC, trailing the Minnesota Vikings by one game. However, considering how poorly Los Angeles’ defense, running game and passing game have played at points this season, there’s a high possibility the Rams will miss the playoffs entirely.

On the other hand, the Seahawks are topping expectations yet again. After putting together a surprising 10-6 season in 2018, Seattle already has ten wins in 2019. Seattle’s improvement coincides with a changed formula for success.

This season, there’s a greater emphasis on Russell Wilson than the running game. On the other side of the ball, the spotlight has shifted from the pass rush to the run defense and an improved secondary.

While those are broad oversimplifications of the transition, Seattle has evolved its winning formula. With the Rams dealing with injuries and backpedaling this season, the Seahawks are going full throttle. Unless Los Angeles has something special planned for Sunday night, the game is Seattle’s to lose.
