2. Patriots vs. Chiefs

Even though the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs are far from the dominant teams that football fans saw throughout the 2018 season, these two contenders could still be serious threats come January.

No one needs to explain just how dangerous Tom Brady can be this time of year since the future Hall of Famer is a six-time Super Bowl champion for a reason, and would love nothing more than to add another ring to this collection.

To say New England’s offense has struggled at times over the last few months would be a huge understatement, but teams are smart enough to know from previous years that doubting Brady and company this time of year could end up being costly once January arrives.

After the Patriots prevented the Chiefs from reaching the Super Bowl last year after defeating Kansas City in the AFC Championship, Patrick Mahomes would love to seek a little revenge by handing New England another loss for a second week in a row.

This will obviously be easier said than done for the Chiefs, but maybe if Mahomes were to play at a MVP level, Kansas City would have a better chance at pulling off the win.
