1. Saints vs. 49ers

After all the work put in this season to be in this position hanging on to the No. 1 seed in the NFC at the moment, it’s tough to imagine the New Orleans Saints messing things up the rest of the way to prevent this from happening.

Between finding a way to get by without Drew Brees earlier in the season to Michael Thomas continuing to make a case as a top wideout in the NFL, the Saints have plenty to be proud of from this season.

But when it comes to the San Francisco 49ers coming to town, New Orleans could be in for their toughest challenge to date.

One can only imagine how frustrated the 49ers are feeling at the moment after going from the top overall seed to a Wild Card spot in the span of a week, but at least Sunday’s meeting in New Orleans will give San Francisco another chance to make a huge statement.

To be the best, teams have to challenge the best, and after allowing one to slip away against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, it’s up to the 49ers to show they have what it takes to take down a top contender in the Saints.

This will obviously be easier said than done since New Orleans in general is never easy for any opponent, but San Francisco realizes the importance of bouncing back after the results from last weekend in Baltimore.
