1. Packers score over 40 points for the second time this season

Reaching 40 points in the NFL is extremely difficult, no matter the opponent. Even some of the worst teams in the NFL have a few superstars on defense, and controlling time of possession often means less scoring opportunities. The Packers scored 42 points against the Oakland Raiders in Week 7, the only time they’ve eclipsed the 40-point mark this season.

Green Bay will have a good chance to score over 40 this coming Sunday against Washington, just one week after scoring 31 points in the snow in East Rutherford against the Giants. The Packers are in an offensive groove at the moment, particularly when it comes to the passing game. Breakout wide receiver Allen Lazard posted his first 100-yard game last week, and appears to be the new No. 2 option opposite of Davante Adams going forward.

The Redskins have allowed over 30 points five times this season, and are currently allowing 24 points per game. In the five instances they allowed over 30 points, all came against good offenses. The Packers are a good offense and should have no problem scoring over 30. The only question is: Can they reach 40?

In another “get right” game for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers passing attack, I’m predicting the Packers to score 41 points in a 41-14 victory over the Redskins on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field.
