Justin Herbert. 7. player. 13. . QB. Los Angeles Chargers

Whenever the Oregon Ducks saw their College Football Playoff hopes end at Arizona State thanks, in part, to a lackluster showing from quarterback Justin Herbert, it felt like many people overreacted to that game as it pertains to the signal-caller’s stock for the 2020 NFL Draft. It was a blip on the radar, though, and the Los Angeles Chargers realize that in this projection.

Philip Rivers has looked his age in the 2019 season, not delivering the rock-solid though not spectacular season that we’ve come accustomed to seeing from him. While he may not be washed up entirely just yet, his days in the NFL seem numbered. The Chargers have to start moving on and bringing in the toolsy Herbert to sit and learn behind him might be a brilliant strategy to employ.

45. . OT. Denver Broncos. Tristan Wirfs. 8. player

The Denver Broncos finally gave rookie Drew Lock his shot at the starting quarterback job and, though his performance was undeniably uneven in his first NFL start, he did enough to help lead Vic Fangio’s team to a win, something that’s been hard to come by for them this year. One thing that went nowhere, however, was the lack of success and quality of the offensive line.

Whether they do believe that Lock is their guy or if the John Elway quarterback carousel continues in Denver, the Broncos must put that player in the best position possible, which is something that Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs can accomplish. With the ability to play on either side of the offensive line, Wirfs is a bonafide Day 1 starter that has the tools to be a top-end player at the position from the moment he takes the field.
