Stud: James White

James White did a little bit of everything both on the ground in the running game and through the air in the passing attack for New England. White led the rushing attack for the Patriots with a team-best 33 yards on the ground on six total carries, recording a game-long rush of 19 yards. In the passing game, White finished with five catches for 27 yards on seven total targets, managing to haul in a game-long reception of 17 yards.

The valuable thing when it comes to having White on your team is that he is able to help you in multiple areas of the game, including both on the ground running the ball and in the passing game. On Sunday, he put that on display for everyone once again.

Dud: Second quarter

Perhaps the biggest dud that took place for New England during the game against Kansas City was the fact that the Patriots allowed the Chiefs to rattle off 17 unanswered points in the second quarter.

When looking back at the game on Sunday evening in Foxborough, that second quarter ended up being the biggest difference-maker in helping Kansas City jump out to a lead and hold off New England for the remainder of the contest.

The Chiefs being able to jump out to a large lead and extend their lead before halftime took the Patriots out of the game at home, which is always an important thing for any road team to do while trying to take down a team on their home field.

There were a few different things that didn’t go the way of the Patriots on Sunday evening in the Week 14 loss at Gillette Stadium, but the biggest disappointment was the second quarter performance against the Chiefs.
