3. New Orleans Saints (4)

Around this time last week, the New Orleans Saints were feeling all the confidence in the world after moving into the top overall seed in the NFC playoff picture thanks to the Baltimore Ravens defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

But with the 49ers coming to town for Week 14, the Saints knew they would possibly be in for one of their toughest battles in 2019, which turned out to be exactly the case.

Despite jumping out to a 20-7 lead over San Francisco to make it seem like New Orleans would be cruising to a favorable win, the 49ers would eventually fight their way back, and pull off the thrilling 48-46 win.

One can only imagine how different the outcome could have been if a few things had gone New Orleans way, and this game is going to be even more frustrating down the road if the Saints come up just shy of the No. 1 seed.

Not to mention, with the Saints facing teams fighting for their playoff lives in the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans over the next two weeks, things aren’t going to get any easier for New Orleans.
