30. Detroit Lions (30)

Rough doesn’t even begin to describe how Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings was for the Detroit Lions, although the team most likely knew they were in for a rough outing due to their quarterback situation.

After losing Matthew Stafford and Jeff Driskel, the Lions were forced to roll with David Blough on Thanksgiving Day against the Chicago Bears.

And while the Purdue product certainly showed some potential in the loss to the Bears, the rookie quarterback received a major wake-up call on Sunday against the Vikings’ defense.

With Minnesota fighting for their playoff lives, as they currently hang on to the No. 6 seed in the NFC, the Vikings knew facing Blough would be the perfect opportunity to take advantage of a struggling offense in the Lions.

The fact that Blough couldn’t even help the Lions score their first points until late in the fourth quarter with only a little over than two minutes remaining shows what kind of day this was for Detroit in Minnesota.

Matt Patricia may be receiving the benefit of the doubt for now, but it these issues continue in 2020, the Lions head coach could easily be on his way out.
