Philadelphia Eagles (6-7) at Washington Redskins (3-10)

Sunday, December 15, 1PM ET

If the Philadelphia Eagles have any hope of stealing the NFC East crown from the Cowboys, they absolutely can’t afford to fall behind in the standings. They’re currently even with their rivals, which means dropping a game against the Washington Redskins isn’t an option.

Crazy as it seems, that’ll be harder said than done despite the Redskins’ 3-10 record. Washington has won two of its last three, and only fell to the Packers by five points in Week 14. The return of Derrius Guice has given them a huge boost, and Dwayne Haskins has also gotten noticeably better down the stretch.

As long as the Eagles don’t take them lightly, though, the Redskins shouldn’t too tall a task. Carson Wentz has stepped up as of late, and even shows glimpses of what made him an MVP candidate not too long ago. Especially if Philadelphia can get another performance like the one they got from Boston Scott against the Giants, the Eagles offense should find the end zone often.

This one is do-or-die for Philly, and the Redskins would love to play spoiler now that they’re officially out of the race. With that being said, anything is possible in this one. I’m giving the Eagles the edge on Sunday, but this really could go either way.

Prediction: Eagles win 27-24
