Uniform of the Week: Los Angeles Rams 

Yeah, yeah, I love these throwbacks, what else is new? How about the Texans and Bills in red? Those were nice. The Buccaneers in red? No thanks. They need to redo their uniforms, again. On a side note, kudos to the Saints, Jaguars, Jets and Eagles for embracing the dark side with their smooth all-black threads.

Hands of the Week: Jaylen Samuels

Unlike Terry McLaurin on his touchdown, Samuels only needed one attempt fo the ball to stick to his hand. This catch was made tougher by the high-arcing pass over the defender, who was all up in Samuels’ face. Not that it has anything to do with the actual catch, but I don’t know how Samuels held onto the ball after that crushing hit by Jordan Hicks.

Troy Polamalu Award: Jayon Brown

Brown went full Superman to stop the Raiders from scoring on this goal-line play, something that Polamalu was famous for back in his black-and-yellow days. I’d go so far as to say this is the defensive play of the week, too.

Face Palm of the Week: Kansas City Chiefs

By now, you should know about the Chiefs’ equipment snafu that led to half of the players’ equipment getting shipped to Newark. If the equipment didn’t arrive in time for the game in Foxborough, Kansas City would have forfeited. Bizarre.

Accessory of the Season: DK Metcalf

Remember last week when I gave this award to Benny Snell? Metcalf will take that award, thanks to his pacifier mouth guard. He’s truly an inspiration to babies everywhere.
