4. Brees tosses four touchdowns in first half

Most teams that put up 46 points in a single contest should have little trouble finishing on the winning end, but unfortunately this wasn’t enough for the New Orleans Saints to take down the San Francisco 49ers.

To top the frustration off, the Saints were sitting in the No. 1 seed for the NFC playoff picture before watching it slip away as a result of the loss to the 49ers in Week 14.

One can only imagine how much New Orleans has been kicking themselves this week as a result of this game since it would have been another huge statement in the NFC, but the best thing the Saints can do is move on, and focus on their next opponent.

With the Indianapolis Colts struggling as of late, this could be another contest in which the Saints come out firing, and make sure they actually hang on to the lead this time.

Watching Drew Brees finish with six touchdowns (one rushing) against the 49ers was yet another example of how the veteran still has plenty of gas left in the old tank, and the Colts could be in serious trouble if he uses what took place last weekend as motivation for Week 15.
