18. Murray throws three interceptions for second week in a row
Isn’t it crazy to think about how the Arizona Cardinals were considered a potential contender under the radar back in October with three wins in a row before it all fell apart over the next couple of months?
As frustrating as it’s been to watch the Cardinals lose six games in a row, this is basically what football fans expected at the beginning of the year while Kyler Murray adjusted to playing at the NFL level since the league is completely different from the college level.
Like most rookie quarterbacks, the last few months have made it clear that Murray is still a work in progress, but hopefully the early experience as a starter in 2019 will pay off in a big way beyond this season.
Once again, Murray was roughed up for the most part during last weekend’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and while a meeting with the Cleveland Browns could work to the rookie’s favor, this may not be the case.
Since the Browns are technically still alive in the playoff race for the AFC, Cleveland’s defense could be playing with a little extra motivation to take advantage of facing a rookie quarterback in Murray, and make sure he’s in for another long afternoon.
