2. Jackson adds to MVP case with 5-touchdown performance

At this point, the NFL MVP award feels as if it’s Lamar Jackson’s to lose. And while he’s been unbelievably impressive this season, the quarterback has actually been pedestrian — particularly as a passer — against two high-quality defenses in San Francisco and Buffalo over the past two weeks. Spoiler: The New York Jets are not the same caliber of defense, especially with Jamal Adams out.

Despite him dealing with a quad injury, Jackson should have a big performance against the Jets on Thursday Night Football. He’ll dice up the New York secondary seemingly at will and then use his legs when necessary to end the night with five touchdowns. For good measure, that will all come in the first three quarters before Jackson takes a rest on the bench.

1. RG3 punctuates win with 2 TDs in 40-point win

With Jackson only playing three quarters, Ravens backup quarterback Robert Griffin III will take over the offense and will make his presence felt. Yes, RG3 has not been the same since he won Offensive Rookie of the Year with Washington but he’s played well in Baltimore when he’s gotten on the field. And against a downtrodden Jets team, he’ll show flashes of that.

As RG3 gets into the mix, he’ll find the end zone twice (let’s say once with his legs and once with his arm) and really beat New York into submission. He’ll give Jackson a rest as the Ravens secure a dominant performance where they cruise to 12-2 on the season with a 40-point win at home.
