3. Minnesota Vikings

At the moment, the Minnesota Vikings control their own destiny in the NFC playoff picture by currently holding the No. 6 seed, although plenty could change in the final three weeks.

In fact, last season’s results are the perfect example of how quickly things can change for a team like the Vikings since they were in the driver’s seat entering Week 17 of the 2018 season, only to end up losing when it mattered the most.

If Minnesota fails to earn a trip to the playoffs for a second year in a row, one can only imagine what the offseason will be like since it will be viewed as another season gone to complete waste with all that money invested in Kirk Cousins.

Facing a team with a losing record in the Los Angeles Chargers would seem like a matchup that benefits Minnesota, but this is the last team the Vikings can afford to take a light approach with.

After watching the Chargers look more motivated than ever during last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, just imagine if they played with that same energy against the Vikings.

As much as Minnesota doesn’t want to hear it, if Los Angeles plays on that level for a second week in a row, the Vikings could be in trouble.
