Stud: Mark Ingram

The unsung hero of the Ravens offense this season is, without question, veteran running back Mark Ingram. After adding him this offseason, he’s been the balancing force to what Lamar Jackson brings to the table and has been highly productive and efficient in that role. That was again the case on Thursday as the Alabama Crimson Tide product notched a beautiful performance.

Ingram only carried the ball 13 times on the night but still put up 76 rushing yards and a score. For good measure, he also punctuated his night and the outing for the Ravens offense with a dive into the end zone on a 10-yard reception, his lone catch of the night. Ingram continues to be a weapon for Baltimore and someone that keeps all the pistons firing in a well-oiled engine.

Dud: Special Teams

While the Baltimore special teams unit was able to notch a blocked field goal in the first quarter, the rest of the game was less than stellar for the Ravens in that regard. Not only did the always-reliable Justin Tucker miss an extra point but punter Sam Koch had one blocked in the second half which was returned for a touchdown by New York.

Obviously the special teams miscues didn’t affect the Ravens in any major way as they ended up with the decisive victory. However, for a team that’s often very disciplined on that side of the ball, seeing those types of mistakes isn’t something that you want if your John Harbaugh and the coaching staff. It’s likely a blip on the radar but still not anything comforting to have witnessed.
