The worry for the Browns as they’ll likely be picking in the middle of the first round in the 2020 NFL Draft is that they will have to reach to get an offensive tackle to address their biggest need. There should be a run on guys like Andrew Thomas and Tristan Wirfs early on in the first round but where a player like Jedrick Wills goes is the wild card. Luckily for Cleveland, he falls to them in this mock draft and the Browns are better for it.

Nick Chubb will certainly love having Wills on the offensive line as he’s already a polished run blocker. But where he showed great progression in 2019 was in passing sets where he showed a bit more refinement with his hand usage and footwork, exploding a bit quicker to get to his mark. With his physical tools and improving technical skill-set, Wills could be the left tackle of the future for Cleveland.

Issues in the secondary have been plaguing Cleveland’s defense all season, particularly with the befuddling and frustrating Damarious Randall situation and then Morgan Burnett‘s injury. It’s clear that this is a position of need surpassed only by the offensive line, so it stands to reason that the Browns would address it in the second round if the right prospect is available. Hamsah Nasirildeen is the right prospect.

Though Florida State as a whole has been a massive disappointment, Nasirildeen has been able to shine. The physical freak who boasts a 6-4 frame and tremendous length has phenomenal speed and playmaking abilities on the back end for a player his size. He could be a matchup nightmare and present a definitive answer to Cleveland’s issues on the back end.
