Wyatt Teller‘s recent play makes the interior of the offensive line seem like less of a need. There’s at least a reasonable chance that he’s the answer at guard for the Browns, even if it’s a short-term answer. Taking Lloyd Cushenberry III out of LSU is playing the long game.

Cushenberry is a great mid-round project for the Browns to roll with if they indeed feel comfortable with Teller. He’s a phenomenal athlete that can play well in space and use his big frame strongly at the point of attack. However, he’s a physical, toolsy ball of clay right now that could use some development, making him a strong choice for the fourth round.

While Joe Schobert has been a stud for the Browns in the 2019 season, the rest of the linebacker corps is still unproven, including rookies Mack Wilson and Sione Takitaki. It’s unlikely John Dorsey would address that early given the capital invested in those two players but they still need more depth.

Justin Strnad could be a late-round steal for Cleveland out of Wake Forest. He possesses physical tools such as his speed and length that could make him a nightmare for opposing offenses. Strnad needs to hit the weight room and add some bulk but he has the frame to do so and immense potential to go with it.

As the old draft adage goes, you should take a quarterback in every draft class just to see what you find. For the Browns, that may be even more pressing as there isn’t a confident backup behind Mayfield.

Jake Luton is, thus, the pick for Cleveland to end their 2020 draft class. The Oregon State product has great size but an average arm. However, he proved in 2019 that he can be a productive passer at the college level and has enough enticing tools and prowess to deserve being selected.
