Minnesota Vikings: 3 Players that must shine vs. Chargers in Week 15

Prior to the Minnesota Vikings hitting the road to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15, here are three Vikings players that will have to shine in the game.

The Minnesota Vikings will go on the road for the final time in the 2019 NFL season on Sunday in Week 15. Coming off of a dominating victory at home to remain perfect at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 14, the Vikings will hit the road on Sunday evening to face the Los Angeles Chargers at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Minnesota is coming off of a 20-7 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 14 in Minneapolis, moving to 6-0 at home so far this year while remaining behind the Green Bay Packers (10-3 overall) atop the NFC North standings while still sitting ahead of both the Chicago Bears (7-6) and the Lions (3-9-1) in the division.

The Vikings, which go into the game against Los Angeles with a record of 9-4 overall through 14 weeks of action and just three games left to play before the playoffs begin, maintain a hold onto the second Wild Card sport in the NFC postseason picture going into this weekend.

On the other sideline on Sunday evening against the Chargers, Minnesota will square off against a Los Angeles team that is struggling as of late while containing an overall record of 5-8 overall up to this point in the year.

Los Angeles is coming off of a somewhat surprising 45-10 victory on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14 last Sunday.

The Chargers come into the game against the Vikings tied with the Denver Broncos for the third spot in the AFC West standings. The Kansas City Chiefs (9-4), which clinched the division following a Week 14 win over the New England Patriots, hold onto first place in the AFC West with the Oakland Raiders in second place at 6-7.
