1. Drew Brees

Despite sustaining an injury earlier this season, Drew Brees has come back better than ever. It’s truly been incredible to watch him lead the team. In particular, his last game was excellent regardless of the loss to the 49ers. Everything else might fail but Brees is always there to lead the team especially the offense.

Against the 49ers, Drew Brees finished the game with a yard shy of 350 yards, five total touchdowns and no interceptions on the day. He also finished the game with 138.4 rating which was in stark comparison to their meeting against the Falcons.

As good as the 49ers defense has been, Brees made them look like chumps. His two touchdown passes to Jared Cook were particularly impressive since they were so unexpected. Overall, his game against the 49ers was a true testament to Brees’ ability.

During Week 15, I look for Brees to put together an impressive outing — albeit not as impressive as what he did against the 49ers. Brees holds the key to an offensive victory as the New Orleans Saints are relying a lot more on their passing game. With the loss of Mark Ingram and a slight decline of Kamara, the offense is back to being pass-heavy.

Last week, the Colts allowed the Bucs four passing touchdowns which means Brees should be seeing a matchup he can take advantage of. It might not be an easy win but Brees has proven it’s not always the easy wins that matter.
