Defense/Special Teams

The New England Patriots (at CIN, $4,000) are the most expensive NFL DFS defense on DraftKings in Week 15. They should be a very chalky play, given the Bengals’ offensive woes this season, so we rolled up our sleeves to find better values at the position.

It wasn’t easy. The San Francisco 49ers (vs. ATL, $3,800) and Seattle Seahawks (at CAR, $3,700) are likewise well-positioned to rack up points, but they’re priced accordingly. After these top three options, it gets dicey in a hurry.

The Los Angeles Rams (at DAL, $2,900) have played well defensively of late, logging two straight games with five or more sacks and recording at least one takeaway in four of their last five. The Cowboys have notoriously struggled against teams with winning records this season, and the sledding should be tough for Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and company against a unit that’s playing at such a high level.

The Washington Redskins (vs. PHI, $2,600) have at least one turnover in four straight games, with four or more sacks in three straight contests. Given the Eagles’ inconsistencies on the offensive side of the ball, a decent showing at a low price is almost expected from this Redskins unit.

For those with higher risk tolerances, plugging in the Cincinnati Bengals (vs. NE, $1,800) frees up a ton of cash to use at other positions. The Patriots have scored more than 20 points only once in their last five games, so the prospect of starting one of the league’s worst fantasy defenses against Tom Brady might not be half as crazy as it sounds on the surface.
