With the Atlanta Falcons pulling off a late-game comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers, here are three studs and duds for the Falcons from the contest.

The Atlanta Falcons were on the road against another tough opponent in Week 15. Atlanta, which has been surprisingly solid on the road up to this point in the 2019 campaign, stepped up to the occasion against one of the best teams in the league, the San Francisco 49ers, to come away with an impressive road victory.

The Falcons completed a late-game comeback to shock the 49ers and come away with a late 23-22 win in San Francisco on Sunday evening.

Atlanta and San Francisco went back-and-forth in the opening half of the contest, with both teams tallying 10 points going into halftime. In the second half, the 49ers jumped back out in front of the Falcons with outscoring Atlanta 3-0 in the third quarter to hold a three-point lead heading into the final quarter of action.

In the final quarter, however, Atlanta put together an impressive showing, outscoring San Francisco 19-9 in the fourth and scored a late-game touchdown in the final seconds to come away with a victory.

With the win, Atlanta improved to 5-9 overall on the season and has now won two games in a row heading into the final few games of the regular season. The Falcons moved into a tie with the Carolina Panthers for third place in the NFC South with the win, although they remain behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7 overall) and New Orleans Saints (10-3) in the division.

The Falcons will return to action next weekend in Week 16 when they return back home to Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta to host the Jacksonville Jaguars in their final home game of the regular season on Sunday afternoon.

In the loss, San Francisco dropped to 11-3 overall on the year and are now tied with the Seattle Seahawks (11-3) for the top spot in the NFC West standings. Seattle and San Francisco remain out ahead of the Los Angeles Rams (8-6) and the Arizona Cardinals (4-9-1) in the division breakdown.

With the matchup between the Falcons and 49ers now behind us, let’s go back and pick out three studs and duds from Atlanta in the Week 15 matchup.
