Atlanta Falcons: Studs and duds vs. 49ers in Week 15
Stud: Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan helped pace and set the tone for the Falcons offense en route to completing a comeback on the road against the 49ers on Sunday evening, throwing for over 200 yards in the victory.
In the game, Ryan managed to convert on 25 of his overall 39 pass attempts, throwing for a total of 210 yards and two touchdowns along the way. The quarterback also managed to not turn the ball over in the contest, which is perhaps the biggest plus when it comes to his performance.
Ryan was dominant once again this week and that helped lead Atlanta to an impressive victory on the road once again on Sunday evening.
Dud: Not taking advantage of running game
The 49ers defense has been one of the more dominant units in the NFL up to this point in the 2019 campaign and the Falcons experienced that mainly on the ground in the victory.
Overall, Atlanta recorded just 89 yards rushing on the ground, totaling 20 carries throughout the game. The Falcons did get into the end zone once in the running game, with Qadree Ollison recording the lone rushing touchdown. Devonta Freeman paced the way for Atlanta in the running attack, finishing with just 39 yards on a team-high 12 carries.
