The Los Angeles Chargers fell to 5-9 with a largely disappointing loss to the Vikings in Week 15 and these were the studs and duds in defeat.

For the first time this season, the Los Angeles Chargers didn’t lose a game by seven points or less in Week 15. But that fact is the least of anyone’s concerns after a devasting 39-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

The offense’s constant issues with giving up turnovers surfaced yet again, only this time it was far worse than anyone ever anticipated: The Chargers would go on to give up a total of seven turnovers, which included four fumbles and three interceptions.

While credit is due to the Vikings for capitalizing on these opportunities, it was an embarrassing effort by the Chargers. The team showed an inability to hold possession of the ball and throw it to players wearing the right jersey.

While quarterback Philip Rivers did throw some impressive passes to his receivers in the first half, it would all be for nothing as Rivers would once again fall collapse under pressure, resulting in turnover after turnover. After scoring 10 points in the first half, the Chargers went scoreless the entirety of the second half.

In addition, the Chargers defense also couldn’t come up with an answer to the Vikings offense. Although only giving up a sole touchdown throw to Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, it was the running game that the Chargers defense struggled to contain, giving up two touchdowns to running back Mike Boone.

Despite a show of life and signs of rejuvenation in a 45-10 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, it seems as though the Chargers have yet to solve their issues with turning over the ball. After this loss, closing out games by a score or less seems like the least of their concerns now.

Here’s a look at the Chargers’ studs and duds from their Week 15 loss.
